          The Leaf Free Gutter System relies on the natural phenomenon known as Liquid Adhesion. Liquid Adhesion is an attractive force between liquids and solids. Rainwater is naturally attracted to the Leaf Free hood surface as it flows off the roof. This directs the water around the curved nose of the hood where it drains into the gutter. Leaves and debris fall away from the hood, while the rainwater is collected into the free-flowing gutters.

          To see Liquid Adhesion at work, hold a round object such as a 2 liter bottle under the kitchen faucet. Regardless of how you hold the bottle, the water wraps around the bottle, then eventually drains into the sink.
